A SHEEP was rescued from Silverdale by fire crews today (Monday).
The incident happened at around midday on Bankhouse Lane.
Fire engines and specialist rescue equipment from Silverdale and St Annes rescued a sheep that had fallen 10 metres down a well-shaft in Silverdale.
Firefighters were lowered into the well by the rope rescue team from St Annes and they used large animal rescue equipment and lifting equipment to rescue the sheep which was brought out alive.
