Rosemere Cancer Foundation hopes to raise £1.5 million with its 20th anniversary appeal
THE transformation of a hospital ward for cancer patients has been given a £25,000 boost.
The 28-bed Ribblesdale Ward at Royal Preston Hospital's Rosemere Cancer Centre is where radiotherapy is given to patients from south Cumbria and Lancashire if they need to be cared for in hospital.
The Eric Wright Charitable Trust has given £25,000 towards the complete remodelling of the ward, to create a "home from home" for cancer patients and their families.
The Eric Wright Group is a Preston-based property company whose housing division, Applethwaite Homes, is building 16 new homes at Blenkett View, Allithwaite.
