THE Grange and District Branch of The Royal British Legion have placed giant poppies on the railings at the promenade to commemorate the Centenary of the ending of the First World War.

Each poppy shows the details of a local person who gave their life.

Bishop Nigel McCulloch, who had been the Chaplain to The Royal British Legion, performed a short service of dedication.

The poppies will be displayed until the end of November.
