The Westmorland Gazette has three rare vacancies for reporters at its offices at Kendal.
The first role is for a motivated self-starter, who is ready to handle the wide mixture of stories in this newsy part of the country and is able to write compellling copy for the newspaper and also for our thriving website.
Ideally the candidate would be an NCE qualified senior, but we would also consider someone who had passed their NCTJ preliminary examinations.

The Gazette is also looking to recruit a Multimedia Journalism Apprentice and a Multi Media Sports Journalism Apprentice. This is your chance to earn while you learn and gain an industry accredited NCTJ Journalism diploma qualification, while working in a multimedia newsroom.
Your apprenticeship would last 18 months with a possible start date of mid September, 2018.
