WHILE travelling on holiday and stopping at a service station, I bought an outdoor magazine as I do once or twice a year. It had one of those competitions where you have to guess from where the photograph was taken and send in the map grid reference. The photo looked fairly familiar so over the next few days, I kept looking at the photo and scanning my OS map app checking the position of crags and gullies in relation to the fell tops. Finally, after a week puzzling over it, my wife was relieved that I thought I’d figured it out, but to make absolutely sure, I dragged her on a walk to find the exact spot. It was worth the search and even my long suffering wife was excited to locate the exact boulder from where it was taken. I now wait to see if I have won the prize.

A search through the Bible can also be inspiring and exciting, as just like in the competition there are lots of clues and fascinating predictions to guide us to finding what we are looking for. Towards the end of the search, Jesus makes it quite clear saying "I am the way and the truth and the life." (John 4:8.)

And the prize in this case is more than just a pair of boots if your name is picked out of a hat, but a life changed, complete and eternal for anyone who believes in and follows Jesus.

Start your search today. Don't put it off any longer.
