NEW windows are planned for the Ship Inn at Sandside to replace flood-damaged frames.
Plans lodged with South Lakeland District Council state the pub has seen "many face lifts over the years" and has been hit by flooding from the Kent Estuary.
Dampness has caused "significant damage" to window frames, and applicant Mr M Houghton is seeking consent to replace them with white, sash-style, uPVC frames.
Works are also planned to reduce the impact of flooding on the historic Park Road property, and the frontage is to be redecorated.
