A new website has been launched aiming to further encourage visitors to Cumbria and the Lake District, and also to help promote local accommodation, attractions and businesses. www.lovetoescape.com aims to provide holiday makers with a definitive guide to the places to stay and things to do in the region.
Rob Shephard, who runs the Cumbria office of www.lovetoescape.com said "We developed this site with the aim of helping to promote the area for the benefit of visitors and local businesses alike. Having run a holiday business in Patterdale, I also recognise how frustrating it can be for local businesses to attract visitors in an easy, cost effective way. I also "escaped" to the Lakes 4 years ago myself, so am keen to help others do the same!"
The site covers the whole of the UK and already has more than 1000 businesses listed in Cumbria. As well as providing full details on existing listings, including clickable maps, the site also allows holidaymakers to add their own favourite destinations and attractions and to add reviews to existing entries. Business owners can create a basic advert, including contact details, description and a photo for free.
