Wedding fair success

RECORD numbers of visitors turned out to enjoy Kendal's first Wedding Fair of 2008.
The event, held at the Riverside Hotel and organised by The Westmorland Gazette, provided an hour-long catwalk extravaganza of wedding gowns, plus the chance to see a range of wedding products and services from 25 exhibitors.
The Kendal suite was packed with visitors from as far away as Shropshire, Cheshire and Northumberland, as well as from Kendal, Ulverston and Barrow.
Organiser Julie Patten, from The Westmorland Gazette, said: "We were delighted to welcome so many people to this event which was one of the busiest we have held over the past three years.
"The fashion shows by Mears Ghyll Birdal Rooms of Lancaster and Marrime Bridal Boutique from Kendal, were spectacular and seemed to have the audience spellbound for an entire hour."
The next wedding fair will be at Cartmel Racecourse on June 29.
