THERE is still time to send in your nominations for Hearts of Gold and give a caring and thoughtful individual in your life an extra special thank-you.

Launched this year as a joint campaign by The Famous 1657 Chocolate House and The Westmorland Gazette, Hearts of Gold is a quest to celebrate the unsung heroes and heroines of South Lakeland.

It could be a good neighbour, a hard-working charity fundraiser or simply somebody who never fails to greet you with a friendly smile.

The award-winner will feature in The Westmorland Gazette and will receive a delicious box of chocolates from the 1657 Chocolate House.

Also our Heart of Gold will be presented with a limited edition Lilliput Lane model of the historic chocolate shop on Branthwaite Brow, as a memento of their inclusion in the Hearts of gold hall of fame.

The next Heart of Gold will be announced on May 30, but to ensure your nomination is considered please send it to Lizzie Anderson by May 16.
