The winners of this year's Excellence in Cumbria Awards were revealed at a glitzy, Oscars-style dinner held at Center Parcs, near Penrith, tonight.
South Lakeland had a strong contingent of finalists in the 13 separate categories of the awards, run for the first time this year by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
The awards aim to celebrate and showcase the achievements of individuals and businesses across the county.
Among the winners were: Graduate award: Joanne McGowran, Lakeland People Development, Windermere.
Youth Progress: Louise Gunn, Milnthorpe.
Advanced Apprentice: Darren Martindale, Kendal.
