POLICE are appealing for information after a Specialised Allez racing bike valued at £500 was stolen from an Ambleside hotel.
The incident occurred at around 1am at the rear of Churchill's Hotel, Ambleside, when a man was refused service at the resident's bar, and was later seen by CCTV cameras riding a bicycle - that belongs to a member of staff at the hotel - away from the premises.
The man is described as being of stocky build with a shaved head and wearing a white vest top.
