A TRANSPORT charity has unveiled an online facility for cyclists to plan journeys along safe routes through north Kent.
The Sustrans website www.sustrans.org.uk now carries a “virtual tour” of the national cycle network.
It includes sightseeing tips, bike maintenance and printable maps.
John Grimshaw, director of Sustrans, a charity which aims to encourage people to walk, cycle or use public transport, said: “We hope this will make cycling towards a sustainable future much more attractive.”
The national cycle network is a Lottery-supported project which at present covers 6,000 miles of safe, high-quality routes.
