WORK has begun to restore a landmark in Ulverston which is in need of some tender loving care.

The £80,000 project to repair stonework and update the interior of Ulverston Methodist Church in Neville Street.

The money has been raised in part by donations from the public, grants from such organisations as Ulverston Town Lands Trust, and £25,000 from church funds.
