Van fails to stop after collision near Ambleside

POLICE in Ambleside have launched an appeal for information after a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedal cycle failed to stop.
The incident took place on Brathay Bridge, Clappersgate, near Ambleside yesterday (Wednesday 15) at around 5.10pm and saw a white Transit style van fail to stop after it was involved in a collision with a cyclist.
The cyclist was treated at hospital for cuts and bruises.
