Tough conditions for the Harriers


THE last of this year's Parkwood Cross Country League fixtures took place last Sunday with heavy, wet underfoot conditions over the University of Kent course

in Canterbury.

Regulars such as Robert Bradbury, Stephen Munn, David Heeley and Michael Valentine produced dependable performances for Dartford Harriers Atheltics Club.

Sophie Corbridge made her debut for the Harriers in the under-11 Fun Run, while Charlotte Whitlock and Helen Pinkess made their debuts in the under-13 and the under-15 age groups respectively.

Results: Boys under-13: Robert Bradbury fourth and Paul Constable eighth. Under-15: Stephen Munn second, Michael Valentine third, David Heeley fifth and Lewis Nicholls 15th. Under-17: Lee Ambrose 10th.

Girls under-11 fun run: Sophie Corbridge fourth, under-13: Charlotte Whitlock third. Under-15: Sophie Cowdrey seventh and Helen Pinkess 12th.

The next cross-country event will be the Kent Championshsips at Sevenoaks on January 5.
