A WOMAN who suffers from a chronic condition which causes pain and severe fatigue has set up a support group to let fellow sufferers know they are not alone.
Sara Smith, of Barrow, has Fibromyaglia Syndrome, and wants to raise awareness of the disease through the support group she has formed in the Furness area.
She said: ”I want to help others with the condition, as I have had such a difficulties in many ways.
"The reason for this dreadful illness is unknown, so knowledge is needed from any field.”
People who have the syndrome often suffer from tiredness, dizziness and allergies, but it was not until the 1970s that a way of diagnosis was developed.
The group meets once a month at Mill Lane Community Centre in Barrow. The next meeting is on Wednesday, August 13.
