Kendal town suffered their biggest pre-season defeat away to Nelson, going down 5-0 to the Vodkat league side on Saturday.
Lee Ashcroft made a number of changes from the 0-0 draw with Runcorn, but a flat Kendal failed to pierce the Nelson defence as the home side struck twice in the first half and three times in the second.
Lee Mulvaney went closest for the visitors, his 69th minute effort hitting the underside of the crossbar before bouncing out, while Zach Clarke also went close for Kendal. However and inspired Nelson had the measure of Lee Ashcroft’s men, who must no rouse themselves for a tough home fixture to Morecambe tomorrow night (Kick off 7:45pm).
