TWO South Lakeland students have just returned from a once in a lifetime sporting trip to the Caribbean.
Layla Quill, from Windermere, and Ailsa Wright, from Kendal, who are both studying at Lancaster and Morecambe College, were selected for the British Colleges Sport National Hockey Squad tour to Barbados.
The tour was an unquestionable success, with the team unbeaten after six challenging matches.
Both local players proved to be crucial members of the squad, Quill scoring the winning goal in the final tour match and Wright part of a defence that conceded just two goals across 400 minutes of hockey.
