Police concerned about missing man

POLICE are becoming concerned about the welfare of a man who has gone missing while on holiday in Cumbria.

Simon Bally, 48, of Foxt, Stoke-on-Trent was due to meet his partner at Penrith train station on Monday however he failed to turn up and has not been in contact with family or friends since Saturday (August 16).

Mr Bally is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, of slim build with tanned skin. He also wears glasses.

He drives a green VW camper van, registration number W553 FJU which he often parks in camp sites and in remote locations while he goes fell walking.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police on 0845-3300-247.
