AN EDEN family has been left “devastated” after their new puppy was stolen from their home.

According to police, the pet – 15 week old blue roan cocker spaniel – went missing from the home in Crackenthorpe, near Appleby between midnight on Sunday and 8am on Monday and officers believe the pet may have been stolen.

The family had only owned the dog for two-weeks prior to its disappearance and according to police have been left “devastated by the loss of a much-loved and valuable pet.”

The puppy was worth around £550.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police on 0845-3300-247.
