PROSPECTIVE students and interested Kendalians are being welcomed to an open day at a further education college.

Kendal College, currently being transformed as part of a £12.9 million development, is opening its doors, between 5pm and 7pm on Friday and 10pm and 1pm on Saturday, to show the facilities the college now has to offer learners.

“It is to give people the opportunity to come in and have a look at the college,” said Paul Goodwin, head of marketing at Kendal College.

“They can talk to any of our lecturers if they have got any questions. Even if they are not sure that they want to enrol on a course, but they want to look at options, we have got advice staff who are available for a friendly chat.”

Visitors will be able to have a look around the impressive new facilities to see how the development has changed the college.

“We can show them round parts of the new building and show them how things are moving on, and what progress we are making in getting things ready for the new term,” said Mr Goodwin.

More information is available by calling Kendal College on 01539 814700.
