THE journey has begun for an exciting new venture which could see a major project arriving close to a South Cumbria tourist attraction.
Members of Furness Railway Trust hope it will be full steam ahead for their plans to create a museum and workshop with associated visitor facilities in Haverthwaite, near Ulverston.
Witherslack-based Kate Willard Ltd and a team of local engineers and transport experts are assessing potential sites.
The most likely of these would be close to the existing Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, the base of the Trust which draws in thousands of tourists each year.
