Man taken to hospital after road traffic collision

MOTORISTS faced delays on a major South Lakeland road on Wednesday afternoon after a two-car collision.
Police were called to the A590 at Swarthmoor at 3.45pm after a red Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 42-year-old man from Coniston, was involved in a collision with a silver Toyota Corola, driven by a 48-year-old Ulverston man, who was taken to Furness General Hospital with minor injuries.
One lane of the A590 remained closed until 4.41pm.
