TWO Lakeland men returned from a relief operation in the cyclone-devastated region of Burma this week.

Hamish Wilson and Rupert Miller travelled to Burma immediately after Cyclone Nargis struck the west coast of Myanmar on May 2 effecting over 2.5 million people.

Acting as Emergency Operations Manager and Private Sector Emergency Coordinator for Windermere based company Impact, Mr Wilson and Mr Miller joined the effort along with Save the Children as part of Impact International’s Relief and Development Group.

The group were faced with providing shelter, food, clean water and sanitation, medical and education services for over 850,000 people across the Delta region.
