Torchlight with a twist

KENDAL Torchlight is set to wow the crowds next weekend as it moves from its traditional Friday evening slot to an all day extravaganza on Saturday, September 13.
The 39th annual parade will run from 7.45pm, with activities and events during the day around the town, and its theme of ‘North, South, East, West - but Kendal's still best.’
Peter Winston, chairman, said organisers were hoping it would be a much better community day having moved to a Saturday, and the parade is set to be bigger than in previous years.
