Witness appeal after assault
4:56pm Saturday 6th September 2008
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was assaulted in Kendal during the early hours of this morning.
Officers say the 17-year-old suffered minor injuries to her arm after being attacked by a man in Burton Road, close to Lakes Leisure Centre, at around 1.05am.
The alleged assailant is described as white, around 5ft 10" or 5ft 11" tall and proportionately built. He was wearing jeans and a hooded top.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact Kendal police on 0845 3300247.
