WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale’s MP is preparing to take part in a game of blind pool.
Tim Farron will be joining the South Lakes Society’s blind pool team for their forthcoming match against the Castle Inn.
The event, sponsored by Bagots the opticians, will take place at the Castle Inn, in Castle Street, Kendal, on Thursday, October 16.
The event is to raise funds for the Vital Group section of the South Lakes Society, which takes people of working age with visual impairment on day trips. If enough money is raised it will also go towards paying for a Christmas function.
Sighted players will have their eyes covered so they can compete equally with their fellow team members – who are visually impaired.
Spectators are welcome to attend the event, which also includes a raffle, and starts at 7.30pm.
Moe information is available from John Wilkinson on 01539 736681.
