POLICE are appealing for witnesses after thieves stole medication from a van in Kendal.
Sometime between 7.20pm on Friday and 8.20am today (Saturday), a blue Ford Escort van, parked near Kendal Green, was broken in to.
A stone cutter tool was stolen alongside a dark blue bag, possibly Adidas, which contained prescription medication.
Police say the thieves made off in the direction of Hogarth estate, where "certain items" were recovered.
Officers are concerned because the medication was contained in a weekly tablet box, with no labelling, and could be dangerous to anyone who takes it.
Anyone with information should contact PC Pease of Cumbria Police on 0845 3300247.
