A MARKET-leading mountaineering business is on target to hit several of its own peaks as part of its on-going expansion.

Ambleside-based Adventure Peaks Worldwide Mountaineering has relocated to larger premises to accommodate the company’s growth and is on target to hit £1.4 million turnover in 2008.

The company is also rolling out new businesses, Adventure Youth, aimed at 11 to 18-year-olds, and also Adventure Families, which will run guided expeditions and walks to more than 50 countries around the world.

Moore and Smalley Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, which has offices in Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and Lancaster, helped Dave Pritt to start the business in 2000 and have continued as advisors.

Mr Pritt, founder and director of the business, said: “This is an exciting time for everyone involved in Adventure Peaks. We have come a long way since we started and, with our new bigger premises, increased turnover, new businesses and expeditions, everything is now in place for us to secure our place as the UK’s number one major expedition provider.
