ADVERSE weather conditions caused three drivers to lose control of their vehicles on the High and Low Newton Bypass near the Newby Bridge Hotel this morning.
Police were called out to the scene at around 9.40am after a blue Vauxhall Vectra driven by a 44-year-old man from Askam, a black Peugeot 206 driven by a 47-year-old woman from Warrington and a yellow LDV van driven by a 32-year-old man from Millom skidded off the road.
One lane of the eastbound carriageway and one lane of the westbound carriageway were closed following the collision.
None of the motorists were harmed.
