ADVENTURE company Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure has flown into The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table, which ranks Britain’s leading private companies boasting the fastest-growing sales over the past three years.
Go Ape, which has two courses in Cumbria at Grizedale Forest and Whinlatter Forest Park, featured at number 71, showing nearly 64 per cent annual sales growth over three years.
Employing 275 staff, Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure courses are located in 17 forests across the UK, stretching from the south coast to Scottish Highlands.
A further four courses are planned for 2009.
Founded by husband and wife team Tristram and Rebecca Mayhew in 2002, the Go Ape concept was born in France when the couple discovered a tree top adventure course set deep in the Auvergne National Forest.
