Reports coming in of suspected earth tremor


The Cumbria Fire service has received a report from a member of the public concerned about an earth tremor in the Briar Rigg and Burneside areas.

There are no reports of damages to any buildings.

Reports of feeling the tremor are coming in to our offices from Kendal and Ulverston.

We thought a lorry had hit the building here at Beetham paper mill, it really shook us up.

Have never ever felt a tremour.
I did, however, feel a tremor at 1122 hrs. today as confirmed by the seismograph reading at Keswick. I hope I haven't missed out on this tremour thing though....

I felt the tremor quite strongly at home in Kirkby Lonsdale. The building shook twice - felt like something had crashed into it!

I was watching tv with my sister and heard the sound of thunder and then the house moved, was very wierd!!!
