RESIDENTS will be able to have their say on how to improve the Appleby Horse Fair in the future.
A drop-in session and public meeting will provide the opportunity for the Multi-Agency Strategic Co-ordinating Group (MASCG), which has taken over responsibility for co-ordinating the fair, to take on board the views of local people about how things were co-ordinated at this year’s fair and what improvements could be made next year.
Key issues for discussion include crime and public order, traffic and road safety, litter collection and street cleaning, toilet provision, animal welfare, medical services and campsite arrangements in Appleby and surrounding transit sites.
The drop-in session will start at 10am and the meeting of the Upper Eden Neighbourhood Forum will be held between 7.30pm and 9pm, both in the Appleby Public Hall on Monday (July 6).
For more information, or to pass on your views, contact Brian Morris, Neighbourhood Development Officer Eden on 01768 812358 or brian.morris@cumbriacc.gov.uk.
A feedback form is also available at www.applebyfair.org/feedback.html.
