M6 lane reopens after accident

A LANE on the M6 that was closed following a car crash has reopened.
One lane was shut on the southbound carriageway between J40 at Penrith and J39 at Shap after two cars collided at around 9am this morning (Friday).
Traffic has returned to normal.
