RESIDENTS across South Lakeland are being warned to be vigilant following a number of burglaries during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Cash and cigarettes were stolen from Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club and Town End Garage, Casterton.
A safe containing cash and jewellery was also taken from a nursing home in Cartmel.
Police are warning people to ensure their property is secure and report and suspicious people or vehicles.
No violence was used during the burglaries and inquiries are continuing, officers said.
