POLICE are appealing for information after a "suspicious" incident when a man tried to stop a young girl in the street.
At 4.15pm on Thursday, a man aged between 30 and 40 years old tried to stop an 11-year-old girl who was cycling on the pavement in Wheatclose Road, Barrow.
A police spokesman said: "From the information available, no crime was committed but in order to clear up any ambiquity officers would like the male or anyone with information, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact us."
