THE number of passengers using the Lakes Line has increased for the third year running.
A survey carried out by the Lakes Line Rail User Group found that there had been a 10 per cent growth in number on the Windermere to Oxenholme line since last year - and a 31 per cent growth since July 2006.
Chair of the group Robert Talbot said the results were “better than expected”.
