BOUNCING back after facing relegation last season are Bowness A, Kirkby Lonsdale, Netherfield C and Arnside B.
All four teams are either leading or sitting in second place of their current division after this week’s results with only four weeks left.
These teams must be starting to consider competing in higher divisions in 2010.
In Division 1 Windermere A stormed at home to a 9-1 win over KA Hale B, matching the result of the leaders KA Hale A against Levens A.
Other teams on the up were Arnside A, who won 8-2 against Victoria A and both Netherfield A and B, who won 7-3 - Netherfield A away to Crosthwaite A and Netherfield B at home to Staveley A.
The top two Division 2 teams won comfortably. Second-placed Ambleside A won 7-3 at Holme C and leaders Bowness A triumphed 8-2 against Subscription A.
Hovering at the bottom Burton produced a confident 7-3 win over Lower Holker A and Levens B beat Milnthorpe A 6-4.
Division Three leaders Kirkby Lonsdale won 9-1 at home to Abbot Hall B.
Netherfield C battled to a 5-5 draw at Heversham A .
Any of the top three Division 4 teams arein the promotion hunt. Third place KA Hale C beat second-placed Sedbergh 7-3, while leaders Burneside B defeated Lower Holker C 8-2.
However closing the gap on them is Staveley B, who beat Levens C 8-2, and Ingleborough B, who won 7-3 at Crosthwaite B.
Ambleside B recorded the best win of Division 5 with a 10-0 win over Allithwaite C.
Joint leaders Arnside B won 8-2 against third-placed Langdale, while co leaders Allithwaite B had their bye week.
