A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries following a collision with a car in South Lakeland.
The cyclist, a 47-year-old man from the Preston area, was riding as part of a group on Dalton Lane, Burton-in-Kendal, when he collided with a red BMW Mini at around 11.45am yesterday.
The cyclist was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and later transfered to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Police say he is in a serious but non life-threatening condition.
The 55-year-old driver of the Mini, from Harrogate, was uninjured.
