A PAIR of rabbits have been stolen from a garden in South Lakeland.
The two Lionhead rabbits were taken from Fell Foot, near Newby Bridge, sometime over night between Saturday, October 31 and the following morning.
The rabbits are described as being white, with dark brown around their eyes and have a dark brown stripe on their backs. Their ears also stick up in the air.
They have recently had surgery and were recooperating. Police say the owner is distressed about whether they are being treated correctly.
Anyone with any information is being urged to call Cumbria Police on 0845 33 00 247. Police are also asking people to be vigilant about buying animals in the run up to Christmas.
