TRIBUTES have been paid to the man who died in a vehicle fire at Kirkby Lonsdale.
The body of Tom Hadwin, 22, was found in his burnt-out Citroen Saxo on Mitchelgate, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Mr Hadwin, whose parents, Dave and Judy, live at Underley Garden School, worked for Scott Kirk Electrical Contractors and played football for Kirkby Lonsdale FC.
His employer, Scott Kirk, who also manages the football team, described him as a good worker and friend: “He was a brilliant lad.
"A top 100 per cent lad who would do anything for you.
“I have never worked with anyone as good as him in my life. He was a top electrician.
“He was always cracking jokes and he was influential in getting the football team together that we have got now.
"He was a very popular guy.”
Earlier this week Kirkby Lonsdale residents had left 30 bunches of flowers and a Liverpool football shirt at the scene of the tragedy.
A message on flowers from his parents and brother Joe, read: “Our sweet beautiful darling Tom.
"Peacefully asleep, we know you felt no pain. You know how much we loved you. Our lives will never be the same.”
If you would like to pay tribute to Tom, add your comments below.
