Main roads around Cumbria remain closed following continual downpours.

Police are urging motorists to travel with extreme caution over many of Cumbria’s roads.

Both ways closed due to flooding between A590 and A5074 Crag Brow / Ash Street. Between Newby Bridge and Bowness.

A5091 Eden
Both ways closed due to flooding between A66 (Troutbeck) and A592 (Ullswater).

A5086 Gote Road (Gote Bridge) Cockermouth
Both ways closed due to flooding between Crown Street (Town Centre) and A594 / A595 (Papcastle).

A5271 High Hill (Greta Bridge) Keswick
Both ways closed due to flooding between B5289 High Hill and Carding Mill Lane.

A595 (Muncaster Bridge) Muncaster
Both ways closed due to flooding between Lowther Street and Fell Lane. Between Waberthwaite and Holmrook.

A595 (Holmrook Bridge) Holmrook
Both ways closed due to flooding between B5344 (Drigg Turn-Off) and Gubbergill Turn-Off. Between Gosforth and Ravenglass. Extra care required on the diversion route due to mud and surface water.

Diversion: Via Santon Bridge.

A5095 Borrans Road Ambleside
Both ways closed due to flooding between A593 Rothay Road and Mciver Lane.

Southwaite Bridge Road Cockermouth
Both ways closed due to flooding at Southwaite Mill. Southwaite Bridge has been destroyed.

Ennerdale Bridge Ennerdale Bridge
Both ways closed due to flooding at Ennerdale. Closed over the River Ehen.

Caldron Hill (Broughton Bridge) Great Broughton
Both ways closed due to flooding at Great Broughton. The bridge over the river Derwent is closed between the A66 and Great Broughton.

Low Road Cockermouth
Both ways closed due to flooding at Crown Street.

Isel Bridge Cockermouth, Isel
Isel Bridge closed due to flooding at Isel.
