DOZENS of schools across Cumbria are to remain closed today due to the floods.

Schools closed include:

Kendal Nursery School - although, care provision is open.

Appleby Primary.

Long Marton Primary School, Appleby.

Sandside Lodge School in Ulverston.

Newton Rigg and Ambleside all classes cancelled at both campuses.

Hawkshead Esthwaite Primary.

Sandside Lodge School in Ulverston.

Goodley Dale at Windermere.

Ennerdale and Kinniside Primary School.

John Ruskin School at Coniston.

Shap Endowed Primary School.

Thwaites School near Duddon, Millom.

Millom Secondary School.

St. Mary's Nursery and Infant School in Windermere.
