THREE Cumbrian bridges have collapsed because of the extreme pressure of water passing through them.
Northside Bridge, the main bridge into Workington on the A597, has collapsed.
Lorton Bridge near Cockermouth has also collapsed as well as Southwaite footbridge in Cockermouth.
The collapse of Northside bridge has meant the gas supply into Workington has been cut off.
