A MAN has been arrested following a serious road accident in Windermere.
A 78-year-old local man sufferered serious leg injuries after being struck by a car on the A591 outside St Mary's Church at 10.40am yesterday.
The driver of the car, also described as being local, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed to appear at Kendal Police Station in January.
