WEMBLEY cup-final matchwinner Alan Taylor will be among invited guests at a special match the North Lancashire and District Football League is holding to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its reformation.
Taylor played at Bolton-le-Sands before he went to Rochdale, from where he was transferred to West Ham United to be an isntant hit with the First Division club.
He scored twice in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, another brace in the semi-final and also repeated the feat in the final.
Taylor will travel for him home in Norfolk to Lancaster to watch a North Lancs League Representative XI play a Lancaster City XI on Giant Axe on March 17 (7.45pm kick-off).
After his appeal for memorabilia to mark the anniversary, league scretary Lawrie Postlethwaite has received more than 30 photographs of teams and is hoping to exhibit them in Skerton Liberal Club lateri n the season.
