THE signed and unsigned share the stage as national and international talent line up for an all-day music event at the end of this month.

Bank Holiday Monday (May 31) sees a line-up of 13 bands from South Lakeland to Sweden playing from Indie to metal at Kendal Rugby Club.

A joint venture between Kendal promoter Evolved Addict and Lancaster-based Loaded Gun Open Crowd, the day kicks off at 2pm and finishes at 11pm.

The line-up includes Swedish indie/emo/rock outfit Sounds Like Violence, punk players Five Knuckle, Steel Rules Die, Stateside rockers 27 and Three Stages of Pain. Local groups include Bowness band My Last Breathe, Arnside's Call of Duty, Tauntra, Nana's Revenge, Second To Last, Ctrl Alt Delete and Duckhunt.

Teenager behind the all-dayer Andy Smith said he wanted unsigned outfits to get a chance to rub shoulders with bands that had managed to snare record deals.

We wanted to bring the best music we could to Kendal and we also wanted to give local bands a chance to play with signed bands to see what it's like and how they work."

The 17-year-old music promoter, who has been running Evolved Addict from his bedroom for the past two years, is also putting on an acoustic set at The Phoenix in Kendal on May 29, 8pm start.

The Saturday night line-up sees Nana's Revenge, Call of Duty and Whitehaven's Colourblink play.

Tickets for the all day event are available on the door and cost £6. For more information, log on to www.evolveddaddict.com
