Sir, I wish to bring to people's notice the amount of rubbish, such as bottles, cans, polystyrene containers for beef burgers and chips, between Castle Street and Little Aynam on Gooseholme in Kendal.
This is a beautiful grassed area in the centre of Kendal, and litter louts make it look unsightly and burden us council tax payers with the cost of removing the litter.
On my walks I pick up the litter and put it in the bins.
I suggest that more litter bins be placed along this beautiful tranquil area, to help keep it tidy for visitors and Kendalians.
