RESIDENTS of a South Lakeland town have seen the benefits of low carbon technology at an energy-saving event.
The Killington and District Sustainable Energy Trust put on the ‘Save Money, Save Energy, Save the Earth’ event in Sedbergh, which demonstrated different methods of sustainable energy, at the Sedbergh People’s Hall.
Stalls were there showing the advantages of thermal solar panels, installing heat pumps and economical driving techniques.
Nick Chetwood, chairman of the Killington and District Sustainable Energy Trust, said: “We wanted to show local people how to reduce their carbon footprint and we were surprised and very pleased at the great interest it created. There was a fantastic buzz around the place.”
