Croston Sports 1 Milnthorpe Corinthians 2 Corinthians manager Keith Singleton celebrated his side’s first win since taking ove as manager in a relegation six-pointer at Croston on Saturday.
In a tight first half with few chances, new signing Matt Longdon had the best shot but his volley from close range went just over the bar, while an Adam Pashley free kick was saved.
Cors were well on top in the second half until a dubious foul on a Cors defender was missed by the referee, allowing a Croston forward to net for a 1-0 lead.
Super-sub Steve Chapman levelled the scores with a smart turn and shot into the top corner with 20 mins left and another inspired substitution gave the home side the lead.
New signing Steve Robinson slotted home at the far post with 15 minutes to go and they comfortabley held out for victory.
